Where in Tampa we go most
New Tampa and Tampa Palms (33647) sent us more calls than any other ZIP: 29 in a year. South Tampa around Ballast Point and Bayshore (33611) came next with 21. After that it is a long, even spread: Northdale and Carrollwood (33624, 33618), Westchase (33626), East Tampa (33610), West Tampa and Westshore (33607), Palm River (33619), downtown and Channelside (33602), Seminole Heights (33604), the University area (33612), Town ‘n’ Country (33615), Citrus Park (33625), Temple Terrace’s edge (33617), Palma Ceia (33629) and Hyde Park (33609).
Most of this is house work. Fewer than one Tampa address in ten had a unit number on it, which is the opposite of our Miami Beach and Brickell routes, where almost every call is a condo with a service elevator to book. In Tampa the washer and dryer are often in the garage, and the fridge in the kitchen is usually a freestanding French-door or side-by-side. Built-ins are rare.

These are our own numbers for Tampa Bay, from paid repairs over $100 between August 21, 2025 and August 21, 2026. Visits that ended at the $59 diagnosis are left out, and so are a handful of jobs above $4,000. The region here runs from Wesley Chapel down to Bradenton and Sarasota, so the sample is larger than the city alone.

Why are there fewer paid repairs than jobs? Mostly because some visits end at the diagnosis. The machine is fifteen years old, the part costs half a new washer, and the honest answer is to replace it. A few more were small fixes under $100 or warranty returns.
Tampa prices run a little under our South Florida numbers. In Miami-Dade the median paid repair over the same kind of window was $375; in Tampa Bay it was $306. Part of that is the mix: fewer built-in refrigerators and fewer high-rise laundry closets, where a stacked unit has to come out of a tight space before anyone can work on it.
