Vacuum repair across Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach. Dyson, Shark, Miele, Sebo, Riccar and central vacuum systems. Brush bars, batteries, motors, blockages. $59 service call, free with the repair.
Most vacuums that stop sucking are not broken. They are blocked, and the blockage sits somewhere the manual does not mention. That is the honest opening for this page: before you pay anyone, pull the wand and shine a light through it. What we get paid for is the other half, the brush bar motors, the failed batteries in cordless sticks, the burnt-out motors in machines someone ran with a full bin for a year, and central vacuum systems where the problem is a pipe inside a wall.
Vacuum cleaner repair: what we take
- Dyson, all cordless and upright lines
- Shark
- Miele canister
- Sebo and Riccar
- Bissell and Hoover
- Central vacuum systems
Cordless sticks, uprights, canisters and built-in central vacuums. Robot vacuums we take case by case, because on many models the part price makes the repair pointless and we would rather say so on the phone.
Vacuum problems, cause and fix
No suction, motor sounds normal
A blockage in the wand, the hose, the cyclone inlet or the brush head. Also a filter that has never been washed. We clear the path end to end and measure airflow afterwards so you know it actually came back rather than improved a bit.
Brush bar stopped spinning
Hair wrapped around the bearings, a snapped belt on belt-driven models, or a failed brush motor in the head on Dyson and Shark. Head motors are a common and worthwhile repair; the machine is fine, the head is not.
Cordless runs for two minutes
Battery at end of life. Cells degrade faster in heat, and a garage in August is exactly the wrong storage. Battery replacement makes sense on the better machines and rarely makes sense on a cheap one.
Burning smell
Stop using it. Either a belt is slipping against a jammed brush bar, or the motor is drawing hard through a blocked airway. Running it further turns a cheap fix into a motor.
Central vacuum: outlets dead or weak
A blockage in the tubing, a broken low-voltage wire at an inlet, or a tired power unit in the garage. We trace the line to find where the clog sits before opening anything, so the wall stays closed.
Machine smells even when clean
Filters and cyclone shrouds hold fine dust and humidity, and in this climate that turns musty. Full teardown clean and a filter set fixes it. Washing a filter and reinstalling it damp is what causes it in the first place.

Repair or replace
Here is the line we hold. On a Dyson, Miele, Sebo or Riccar, repair almost always wins: these machines cost $500 to $1,200 and the common failures are heads, batteries and blockages that run under $300. On a $120 supermarket upright, a motor replacement costs more than the machine is worth, and we will tell you that on the phone rather than after a visit. Central vacuum systems are always worth repairing, because the expensive part is the tubing in your walls and that never fails.
Frequently asked questions
Do you do vacuum repair near me in Miami-Dade and Broward?
Yes, across Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach at (754) 345-4515. Central vacuum systems are done at the house; portable machines can also be diagnosed at the house on the same visit as another appliance if that saves you a trip.
How much does Dyson vacuum repair cost?
Brush head motors run $140 to $280, batteries $120 to $260, blockages and filter service $59 to $160. Main motor work runs $180 to $380. On a machine that cost $500 or more, all of those are worth doing.
My vacuum has no suction but sounds fine. What is it?
A blockage, nine times out of ten, and it is usually in the wand or where the hose meets the cyclone. Check there first, for free. If the path is clear and suction is still gone, the seal on the bin or a cracked hose is next.
Is it worth repairing a cheap vacuum?
Usually not, and we say so before charging you a visit. Under about $200 of original price, a motor or head repair costs more than replacement. Blockage clearing is the exception; that is cheap on any machine.
Do you service central vacuum systems?
Yes: power units, inlets, low-voltage wiring and blockages in the tubing. We locate the clog before opening any wall, and in most houses the pipe run makes that predictable.
Can you replace a Shark or Dyson battery?
Yes, on the models where a quality replacement cell pack exists. We fit the pack, verify run time against spec and dispose of the old battery properly rather than leaving it in your trash.
