Appliance repair in Bradenton and across the river in Palmetto. Between the end of October 2025 and July 2026, technicians who cover Sarasota and Manatee took 83 service calls in Bradenton and the towns around it, with washers and dryers at the top of the list. $59 covers the visit and diagnosis and is credited to the repair if you go ahead.
Where last season’s calls came from
West Bradenton sent the most work: ZIP 34209, out toward Palma Sola Bay. Palmetto’s 34221 came second, then east Bradenton (34208) and downtown around the Village of the Arts (34205). Parrish was close behind, along with the 34203 and 34207 codes on the south side of town. A few calls came from Ellenton and from Holmes Beach and Anna Maria on the island.
December was the peak with 17 calls. By May we were down to 3, and June picked back up to 10. Most of that swing is winter residents arriving and leaving. It fits Census data showing about one in eight homes in Manatee County held for seasonal use.
Older houses, laundry in the garage
By Census data, half of Bradenton’s homes were built in 1983 or earlier, and nearly two thirds went up before 1990. Bayshore Gardens, south of town, opened its first model homes in 1956. In a lot of these block ranch houses the washer and dryer live in the garage. Where the appliance was written down on our tickets, washers came up twice as often as dryers, and the two together outnumbered every kitchen appliance combined. Brands we saw were GE, Maytag, Kenmore and Samsung.
A garage in August is hard on a machine. Rubber fill hoses dry out. Dryer vents that run through the attic pack with lint, and wasps like to build in the hood outside. When a dryer needs two cycles to finish a load, we check the vent before blaming the heater. More on both machines: washer repair and dryer repair.
James H. left this about his washer on our Sarasota Google listing: “The technician began looking at the electronic control panel and the machine sprang back to life. Turned out the visit only cost the minimum.”
Condo closets and Parrish wells
About a quarter of Bradenton’s homes sit in buildings with ten or more units. In many of those condos the laundry is a stacked pair in a closet, so the repair happens where the machine stands. If your building wants the technician’s name ahead of time or the service elevator booked, say so when you call. Census data also counts 13.7% of Manatee County housing as mobile homes. A good share of them sit in the 55+ parks around Ellenton and Palmetto, where appliances run compact and closets are tight.
Parrish is the opposite case. It was a small farming town until the late 2000s, and the subdivisions off US-301 are new enough that a refrigerator may still be under the builder’s or manufacturer’s warranty. Check that paperwork before you pay anyone. Out on acreage some homes still run on private wells, and iron in the water clogs the small screen inside the washer’s inlet valve. A washer that fills slowly is often nothing more than that.
Salt water and closed-up houses
Helene’s surge flooded homes across Anna Maria Island in September 2024, and Milton came ashore at Siesta Key two weeks later. A washer or dryer that sat in salt water corrodes from the inside, and the control board and motor windings usually go first.
Seasonal owners run into something else: a house shut from May to November often greets its owner with a musty refrigerator or a washer gasket black with mildew. If you unplug the refrigerator for the summer, empty it and prop the door open. Leave the washer door open too.
Booking a visit
Call (941) 964-6989 to check the next opening. Dispatch gives you the window on the phone, and it depends on where the Tampa Bay technicians are that day. The phone team speaks English, Spanish and Russian. You get a written price before any part is ordered. Brand-specific boards and ice maker assemblies are usually a two to three business day order, and the second visit is not charged a new service call. Parts carry our tiered warranty, up to 10 years on sealed-system welds, and labor is covered for 90 days.
Half of the paid tickets from Bradenton-area jobs came in under about $280, parts and labor included. Kitchen work is on our refrigerator repair and dishwasher repair pages. We also repair Sub-Zero, Wolf, Thermador, Miele, Viking and Monogram, though we have not seen many of them in Bradenton yet. We do not do HVAC ductwork, plumbing or electrical panels. Photos of finished jobs are on our work.

FAQ: appliance repair in Bradenton
Do you have an office in Bradenton?
No. Our only address is 1001 N Federal Hwy in Hallandale Beach, and there is no walk-in shop. Technicians who cover Sarasota and Manatee come to your home. Book at (941) 964-6989 or with the form on this page.
Do you go to Palmetto, Parrish, Ellenton and Anna Maria Island?
Yes, we had calls in each of them last season. Island visits depend on traffic over the Manatee Avenue and Cortez Road bridges, so dispatch will give you the window up front.
How much is a service call in Bradenton?
$59. If you approve the repair, it comes off the bill. Weekends cost the same as weekdays, and we work 7 AM to 9 PM every day.
I am only here in winter. Can my property manager let the technician in?
Yes, or a neighbor. Tell dispatch who will open the door. The written price comes to you before any part is ordered, wherever you are.
My washer sat in storm surge water. Is it worth repairing?
Often not, if it was salt water and the motor or board got wet. Fresh water that only reached the base of the machine is a better bet. We look at it and quote it, and you decide.
