Samsung dishwashers have two habits that fill our schedule. The first is the LC code, which means the leak sensor in the base found moisture and shut the machine down, and which fires as often from steam and a splash during loading as from a real leak. The second is a drain fault, 5C or 5E, from a drain pump that clogs faster than most because the Samsung filter lets small debris through. Both are cheap to diagnose and cheap to fix when they are diagnosed right. The WaterWall and Linear Wash models add a third: the moving wash bar that stops moving and leaves the left rack dirty. Samsung dishwasher codes and what they mean

LC or LE: leak detected, drain pump runs on its own
The moisture sensor in the base pan tripped. A real leak from a door seal, a hose or the pump housing, or a false trip from steam, a splash, or a detergent overflow. We open the toe kick, find whether the pan is wet and where the water came from, dry the sensor, and fix the source. Unplugging for an hour clears a false trip; it does not fix a real one.
5C, 5E or OC: will not drain
The drain pump is clogged with glass, seeds or a label, or has failed. On Samsung the sump filter lets small debris past, so the pump clogs sooner. We clear the pump and the drain hose, check that the hose is not pushed too far into the disposal, and replace the pump when the motor has gone.
4C or 4E: not filling
The inlet valve, its screen packed with mineral grit from South Florida water, or a stuck float. Screens are cleaned free with the visit; the valve is a same-day part.
3C, 3E: wash motor
The circulation pump is not turning or is drawing too much current. Debris in the impeller, or a failed motor. We clear and meter it before replacing.
HE, HE1, tE: heater or thermistor
The water did not reach temperature, or the sensor says the wrong thing. The heater on Samsung is part of the wash pump assembly; the thermistor is separate and cheap. We meter both before ordering the expensive one.
PC, PE: wash bar or diverter
On WaterWall models the moving wash bar has stopped and the left rack comes out dirty; on other models the diverter valve that switches water between spray arms is stuck. Both are same-day parts.
Will not start, door will not latch, AutoRelease door stays open
The door latch assembly, or on Bespoke units the AutoRelease actuator. A control that reads the door as open will not run. Same-visit part.
Dishes wet, white film on glasses
Rinse aid empty or the dispenser stuck, or hard-water scale on the heater. Samsung dishwashers rely on rinse aid to dry; without it, plastics stay wet. We fix the dispenser, descale, and set the dose for Miami water.
