Oven and stove repair in Miami — wall ovens, gas stoves, and the parts that actually fail
Oven and stove calls split cleanly by fuel. Electric ovens that will not heat have a burned-open bake element or a drifted temperature sensor — both 20-to-40-minute swaps with parts on the truck. Gas ovens that click but never light have a weak bake igniter: after 5 to 8 years it no longer draws enough current to open the gas safety valve, and we amp-test it in minutes on the $59 diagnostic. Gas stovetop burners that spark forever without lighting are a dirty electrode, a misaligned cap, or a failed spark module — the same three culprits in nine calls out of ten. This page is the dedicated oven and stove hub; ranges (single units with cooktop and oven combined) and drop-in cooktops live on our range and cooktop hub.
Built-in wall ovens are where Miami is different. The condo and high-rise stock from Brickell to Sunny Isles runs heavily to single and double wall ovens — GE Profile and Monogram, KitchenAid, Bosch, and in the premium tier Wolf, Thermador, and Miele — and those are cabinet extractions with brand-specific control boards, hinge kits, and door glass. Power surges in storm season are the silent killer here: a surge that never tripped a breaker can still cook an oven control board, which is why post-storm weeks fill with «oven dead, display blank» calls. We test the board, the thermal fuse, and the supply before quoting, and we put it in writing.
Typical oven and stove repairs run $180 to $440 in parts and labor: igniters, elements, sensors, and infinite switches at the low end, premium control boards at the top, with the $59 service call waived for any approved repair. Self-clean lockouts, F-code errors, doors that no longer seal, convection fans grinding their bearings — all routine, most same-visit. Holiday weeks we push oven calls to the front of dispatch because a Thanksgiving oven has a hard deadline. Call (754) 345-4515 before noon for a same-day slot across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach.

Frequently asked questions
Why is my oven not heating up?
On electric ovens the bake element has burned open or the temperature sensor at the back of the cavity has failed — both are 20-minute swaps with parts on the truck. On gas ovens the bake igniter has weakened with age and is no longer pulling enough current to open the gas safety valve. Igniters are a 5 to 8 year wear part, period. We amp-test on a $59 diagnostic.
How much does oven repair cost?
Typical oven repairs run $180 to $440 in parts and labor. Bake elements, thermistors, igniters, and door hinges are on the lower end; control boards on Wolf, Viking, and Thermador sit at the upper end. The $59 service call is free with an approved repair.
Do you fix Wolf, Viking, and Thermador ovens?
Yes — premium ovens get our senior technicians who carry the brand-specific tech manuals and the most common spare modules. Wolf, Viking, Thermador Pro Grand, Miele, La Cornue, and Bertazzoni are all in our regular service mix. Built-in wall ovens are one of our specialties.
Why is my oven temperature off — burning or undercooking?
The cavity sensor has drifted or the control board calibration is off, usually after a power surge. On Wolf and Viking the platinum RTD sensors can fail with offsets up to 50 degrees Fahrenheit either way. We verify with a calibrated digital probe and either swap the sensor or recalibrate via the service mode — whichever the unit needs.
Why won't my oven door unlock after self-clean?
The latch motor that drives the lock cam has burned out or the cam itself has stripped from the heat of a self-clean cycle. Sometimes a thermal limit switch in the latch circuit has opened. We replace the door latch assembly as a unit — Whirlpool, KitchenAid, GE Profile, and Samsung NE-series all stock on the truck. Most calls finish the same visit.
How much does a gas oven igniter replacement cost?
Igniter replacement runs $220 to $310 all-in including the part, labor, and the $59 diagnostic credit. Whirlpool, GE, Maytag, KitchenAid, and Samsung igniters are stock items on the truck so the job finishes on the first visit. Premium-brand igniters sometimes order in 1 to 3 business days.
Can you do same-day oven repair in Miami?
Yes, same-day and next-morning slots are usually available across Miami-Dade and Broward when you call before noon at (754) 345-4515. Holiday-week oven calls go to the top of the dispatch queue because a Thanksgiving or Christmas oven failure has a hard deadline.
My oven shows an F1 or F3 error code — what does it mean?
On Whirlpool and KitchenAid, F1 is a control board ROM error, F2 is a stuck key on the touch panel, F3 is the oven sensor reading open, and F4 is the sensor shorted. F2 often clears with a membrane overlay replacement and no board swap. F3 and F4 are sensor jobs. F1 is a board issue and we order direct from the OEM channel.
Why does my oven smell like gas?
If the burner is lit and you smell gas during cooking, the spark module or gas valve seating is the suspect — call immediately at (754) 345-4515 and stop using the oven. If the smell is faint and only at startup, that is the safety valve cycling open before ignition, which is normal on some older gas ranges. We will diagnose and fix on a same-day call.
Should I repair or replace a 15-year-old oven?
It depends on the failure. Bake elements, igniters, sensors, and door hinges are cheap fixes worth doing on almost any age oven. A failed control board on a 15-year-old commodity brand often is not worth the parts cost against a new unit. On Wolf, Viking, Thermador, and Miele — almost always worth repairing because the cavity and burner hardware will outlast any replacement.
Do you handle convection fan motor failures?
Yes. Loud or grinding convection fans are usually bearing failure after 6 to 10 years of use, and the convection element behind the fan often degrades at the same time. Pull the rear cavity cover, swap the motor. Stock for GE Profile, KitchenAid wall ovens, and Whirlpool double-ovens. Premium-brand motors order in 1 to 3 days.
What warranty comes with an oven repair?
Ninety days on parts and labor for the component we replaced. If the same part fails inside that window we return at no charge — no service-call fee, no labor. Sealed control board work carries the same 90-day coverage.
Oven and stove problems we fix every week
Oven Not Heating
Electric: a burned-open bake element or a failed cavity sensor — 20-minute swaps with parts on the truck. Gas: a weak bake igniter that no longer opens the safety valve. We amp-test the igniter on the first visit instead of guessing, and most no-heat ovens bake again the same day.
Burner Clicks But Won't Light
Endless clicking on a gas stove is a wet or dirty spark electrode, a misaligned burner cap, or a failed spark module shorting to ground. We clean and test every burner, not just the dead one, and carry spark modules for Whirlpool, GE, KitchenAid, Samsung and Frigidaire.
Temperature Off — Burning or Undercooking
A drifted oven sensor or de-calibrated control board, very often after a storm-season power surge. We verify the real cavity temperature with a calibrated probe, then swap the sensor or recalibrate through service mode — whichever the readings say the oven actually needs.
Door Locked After Self-Clean / F-Codes
Self-clean heat kills latch motors and thermal fuses, and F1/F3-type codes point at the board or sensor. We decode the exact fault for your model — Whirlpool, KitchenAid, GE Profile, Samsung — and replace the latch assembly or sensor as a unit, usually in one visit.
Stove Burner Stuck on High
A burner that will not modulate has a failed infinite switch behind the knob — a genuine safety issue, not an annoyance. Infinite switches are inexpensive, stocked on the truck, and the replacement takes under 45 minutes including the burner-by-burner retest.
How an oven or stove repair visit works
1. Tell Us the Symptom and Model
Call (754) 345-4515 or send the form with the model number and what the oven or stove is doing. Gas-smell calls jump the queue — stop using the appliance and ventilate while we route a truck.
